'Redmoon' is a Space Fantasy Online Role Playing Game.
Far from Earth, in the distant depths of space, a star saw the strength of man's inner spirit grow on the planet Signus. Among this advanced race of beings, a small number of individuals rose to power through the development of psychic skills that allowed them to communicate telepathically and even teleport across the vast reaches of space.
But long ago a prophet had foretold that with power comes pride, out of which would grow evil. And so, it was Aguilas who brought a reign of tyranny and terror to Signus. With their planet standing in ruins, the people prayed for a savior who could free them from his rule. They hoped for the fulfillment of an ancient prophecy that, from the fires of devastation, a hero, the true 'Sun', would come to save them. And so, Aguilas feared this "Sun"...
'Redmoon' introduces you to a vast adventure.
The future of Signus is tied to the Earth over time and space. It is now your turn to live out this story, traveling from present-day urban Earth through deserts and mountains, and eventually out across space to war-devastated Signus. Do you have the courage and strength of will to grow beyond a pale red moon and become the one true "Sun", bringing life and hope to a barren land?
'Redmoon' establishes a unique type of on-line game.
Travel from the diverse plains of Earth to the fantastical world of Signus where you'll encounter monsters and foes beyond your imagination. You can choose from 9 different characters based on the comic book and select from over 18 different psychic abilities, a huge mix of weapons that include swords, bows, and grenades. Combat spans the spectrum of psychic, conventional, and martial arts-style fighting.

Status Update :. |
I wanted to make sure everyone got an update. We've currently solved the problem with the database refusing connections. From what I've read there has been a few issues with some player having disconnection problems. I'm currently working with the theory that it is mainly with our players who play over-seas (outside of the United States). Please leave a comment in this post if that seems to be the case for you.
On the brighter side of things, we're prepping for a Black-Friday sale on the online store (our first ever!) and a dbl exp event for the holiday weekend (starting the Friday the 28th).
I'll be in both in game and in the irc chat along with much of the other staff this weekend if anyone needs to speak with us. I look forward to seeing everyone in game.

Server Maintenance :. |
As I'm sure you can tell, the server is currently off line for maintenance in hopes of finally getting this problem resolved. As I have more information I'll be sure to update this post. Hopefully it wont take more then a few hours, but I'm planning for at least a full day of downtime.
It's going to be one of those moments where we're not entirely sure things are going to be back to normal until we try things out. I've currently brought the sever back online. If you want to brave it, please give it a go and play, if you're not entirely sure yet, then hold off until we give final word that all is safe.

End of Event Reset :. |
Just a reminder that you should have reset your characters by now if they don't have the stats of their character classes. If you have yet to do so, please do it right away. You have until November 11th, 11:59pm pst to request a red poison pill for character with abnormal stats. You can either contact me on IRC, or send in a ticket by logging into the account of the character that needs a reset. If you fail to reset your character after the time above, your characters will risk being permanent banned as forewarned by GMFalcon when event ended a week ago.

Server Status :. |
We are going to be taking the server offline for the rest of the day to do some diagnostics. We do apologize for this inconvenience but we need to find out what is causing it to crash so frequently.
We will bring it back online as soon as possible and appreciate everyone's patience. As always we strive to maintain an impeccable uptime here at RMC and will do everything in our power to restore normal game play.
We've made a few adjustments in hopes of taking care of the problem. Due to the unusual circumstances it's difficult to trouble shoot. The only way for sure for us to know if the problem is repaired or not, is to have the server up and running and see if it breaks or not. As such, we've started the server back up (sans the BD at the moment) and we'll see where we land in a few hours. Please be careful while playing if you're worried about dying.

We're aware of the repeat downtime, I've spoken with Raven and we're continuing to look into the cause. For the moment, we're going to reboot the server and get the game going again. Please hang in there while we work through this problem. Stick to safe leveling areas until we give word otherwise. Thanks you for your continued support and understanding.

End of Shapeshift Event :. |
Redmooners,
The shapeshift event has now ended. You will find your character reverted back to their normal character class and their honor has been restored.
When you log into game you'll find a poison pill located in your mailbox in which everyone who took part in the event MUST use. Please do so quickly as at the end of the week, they will disappear and all players who failed to reset will need to find their own way of reseting.
Anyone caught keeping abnormal stats from another character class because they failed to reset their stats will find their character promptly perma-banned after a seven day grace period, so I urge everyone to reset as soon as possible to avoid any problems.
We're also still aware of the on going database communication failure that continues to happen appropriately every 24 hours. We are working to resolve this problem as quickly as possible. We will be taking the server off line sometime this week for diagnostics and hopefully come up with a solution. We ask that you bare with us during this period as we work to restore RMC's long history of impeccable uptime.
